David DelorenzoCEO
is a native Arizonan. He attended college at Arizona State University and graduated with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Marketing. After college David worked for Warner Bros records distributor, which started a 10 year career in the record entertainment industry. While engaged in the record industry, and armed with marketing knowledge, David opened his first marketing company called Diamond in the Rough Promotions.

While building his business, David discovered a niche market that could use his services: the restaurant industry He developed his current business, Bar and Restaurant Insurance to respond to the industry’s demands for quality and affordable insurance for all sectors of the hospitality industry. David is a dedicated member of Arizona’s restaurant community, constantly staying current on the bar and restaurant industry market to ensure that he is providing outstanding, quality service for restaurateurs. In addition, David has built a reputation in the industry based on the trust that he will always look to serve the best interest of his clients in both insurance price coverage.

David is a silent investor of 4 restaurants in the Phoenix-metropolitan area. David feels that by traveling to these restaurants and getting his hands dirty he better understands the needs of the restaurant industry and, thus, his clients. David is an avid runner and health fanatic. He is a family man at heart and cherishes the time he is able to spend with family and friends. David also enjoys music and science fiction and has a special place in his heart for Star Wars. For those that need it, make time he will.

David MelansonCOO
David Melanson is the Commercial Lines Manager for Ambassador Group Insurance Services LLC. He too is a native to Phoenix AZ and began his insurance career in February 1990 as an appointed agent with Farmers Insurance Group. David spent 7 years with FIG before deciding to become an Independent Agent.

He along with his sister Laurie opened up their own Independent Agency in 1997. In 2000 they sold their agency and David took the position of Commercial Lines Sales Manager with CDS Insurance. During his time with CDS David help to build a successful and profitable commercial book of business virtually from scratch. In early 2004 David was offered the Commercial Manager position at The Ambassador Group which he gladly accepted. Commercial Lines is David’s passion and he enjoys the daily challenges of working with Small Business Owners helping them protect their livelihood and supporting Free Enterprise.

Edward J. DelorenzoFounder, Owner
After graduating from Colorado State University in 1970 Ed has been in the insurance business since 1972. He worked for Allstate Insurance Company until 1988. Ed left Allstate to open his own independent agency, the Ambassador Group in 1988. Ed has won numerous awards in the insurance industry for production and customer service.

Ed’s hobbies sports collectibles and bodybuilding.

Laurie LewisManager - Commercial Services
Laurie Scola began her career in insurance back in 1994 working alongside with her brother David running a small independent agency. Laurie and David continue to work together as part of the Ambassador Team. The majority of her experience has been in the Commercial insurance arena and she enjoys the challenges and experiences it brings. She forms close working relationships with her clients and they know they can depend on her experience and true concern for their needs.
Kristin ReiderCommercial Lines Services Representative
Kristin has worked in the administrative field for the last 9 years. Preferring small locally owned business. Liking the fact that you get to know who you work with rather than be strangers. She recently obtained her insurance license and would like to help The Ambassador Group grow and provide excellent customer service to our insureds.
Lisa MindakCommercial Service Account Representative
Lisa was born in Phoenix, AZ. She has lived here most of her life but did spend a few years in Chicago, ILL. She began her insurance career in 1984 working in the Life Insurance industry. I moved on to the Commercial/Personal Lines side in 1990 and left in 1993 to be a full-time mom. I returned in 2013 to work at a great company with great people here at Ambassador Group Insurance. I enjoy working with our clients, forming relationships with them and helping them with their insurance needs. Lisa enjoys fitness, spending time with family and the beach. Lisa & her husband, Steve, have two boys ages 20 & 23.
Stephanie HopkinsCommercial Service Account Representative
Stephanie has been in the customer service industry since 2004. She began her career in insurance industry in 2014 when she was hired to provide our clients with friendly customer service and was always excited to help our clients out in any way that she could. Since coming on board with our agency Stephanie realized how much she enjoyed the insurance industry. In 2015 Stephanie became a Commercial Service Account Representative assisting our commercial team and clients. Stephanie is originally from New York but was raised in Arizona. In her spare time Stephanie enjoys taking long drives enjoying the Arizona landscape, playing board games and spending time with her family and friends.
Melissa AvinaClient Relations and Personal Lines Asst.
Melissa, a native New Yorker, came to our Agency with Administrative experience. Her bubbly personality and eagerness to help makes her the perfect first contact for all our clients. Over the last 4 years, she has attained her Insurance License and is now working toward her CISR Designation. Her increased knowledge allows her to answer many of our client’s questions at first contact.

When she is not making our clients her first priority she is taking care of her true loves…her four children. She also loves to bake which means we get spoiled with her wonderful creations.

Audrey Paulauskas
Audrey embarked on her insurance career in 2006 with a captive agency in north Scottsdale. Learning both personal and commercial lines insurance, it was here that she gained a passion for the personal lines division. She loves having the opportunity to touch people’s lives on a daily basis. After working in the captive world for almost ten years, she was proud to join The Ambassador Group family in 2016. Here others share her belief that we are here to educate and advise our clients, protect our clients’ assets, and most importantly, protect our families’ dreams.
Sandie BlairPersonal Lines Account Representative
Sandie was born in The Netherlands and moved the the United States when she was 4. She spent her childhood growing up in Minnesota and headed west in 1987. Sandie began her insurance career in 2006 and has been going strong ever since. Sandie enjoys learning and increasing her knowledge of the insurance industry and recently earned her Accredited Adviser In Insurance (AAI) designation along with her Associate in Insurance Services (AIS) designation. Sandie’s passion is to help her clients by providing outstanding customer service and to help her clients understand their coverages and their policies. During her spare time she enjoys golf and travels when she can. Every year at the end of January, Sandie volunteers at the Waste Management Phoenix Open as a marshal on the famous 16th hole.
Mary Kavena
Mary Kavena joined Ambassador Group as a Commercial Lines Marketing Representative in 2016. She was new to the insurance industry; however, she brings ten years of sales and administrative experience to The Ambassador Group. Mary is excited about her role in helping producers write and service customer’s insurance policies. Whether they be clients or co-workers, Mary is passionate about helping people.
